Cool Warrior Standard 5 String Bolt-on SWEET!

Sign in to disble this ad
*PRICE DROP $1200 Or Best Offer!!! INCLUDING PAY-PAL AND SHIPPING!!!*

You are looking at a beautiful Warrior Standard 5 string. It weighs 9.5 Lbs. and was made on July 2, 1998. Tones range from basic stingray to stingray on steroids, jaco burpish bridge to P-bass superdub. The slap switch makes the midrange boost, and is sweepable via trim pots on the internal preamp. There is a push/pull on the volume, which I believe is for series-parallel operation on the MM pickup. This transforms the sound from a cutting Music Man style, to a P bass tone. This bass cuts through the mix like nothing I've ever heard, even at low volumes. The tone is very versatile. With its dual truss-rods, the neck stays as stable as anything I've ever seen, wood or graphite. Its profile is wide and thin. It is currently set up with a brand new set of GHS strings and the action is low, .060'', or 1/16" at the 24th fret. There is hardly any fret wear, even though this is a 12 year old instrument.

It features:
*3 piece mahogany/purple heart neck with birds eye maple fingerboard *Mahogany body and birds eye maple wings
*Twin Truss-rods
*34" scale/24 frets
*1 7/8" @ nut
*Basslines MM style P/U
*Hipshot bridge (adjustable spacing 17-19mm)
*3 band Basslines Preamp w/slap switch (sweepable freq via internal trim pots)
*Recessed straplocks
*Comes with original HSC (1 cracked latch makes it a little difficult to close but still functional), Warrior strap, straplocks, and a laminated certificate of authenticity.
*Just set-up with a new set of strings
Asking $1200. OBO shipped/paypalled. Please PM with any other questions!

Jaymi,
If I wasn't trying to scrape together $2500 for a retainer on a court case I have,
I would love to try a Rickenbacker, as I've never owned one before. Thanks so much for the offer! OBO is encouraged! I'm willing to give the best cash deal on a Warrior ever!

Wink Tons of New Pics!

I love how there's red in the inlay on the end of the sword (like it just slayed someone...):

The black mark is just something in the wood grain, not a nick:

There is a small ding here:

There is a little rash here:

Impeccable fret-work:

G-factor system, for stringing the B and E strings through the body:

Nice Warrior Bump! I own a '99 model. Just an FYI, these are actually for stringing the B and E strings through the body. It was called the G-Factor system and all the early Warriors had it.

All of the string throughs I've seen have had the eyelets through the backside of the body, not by the strap button. The previous owner said they were for some sort of truss-rod, I'd certainly never heard of such a thing, but honestly had no idea (he also said it had a piezo bridge, but It doesn't either)...Thanks for clarifying!
