Warwick $$ German Made 4 sale

Sign in to disble this ad
European made Warwick double buck - one of the most versatile workhorses out there.

Blew the clutch on my Toyota and have dropped price to:

$800. shipped Warwick Deluxe Gig bag, truss rod and book included.

This bass has little to no gig wear and is just everything it's cracked up to be.

The Bell Brass frets are a dream for tapping, and slapping.

Here's what the buzz says:
If the entire line of Warwick basses is like a family at a party, then the Corvette $$ is the latest in-law who ate all the food, drank all the booze and is now in the coat closet with not one, but two of the wait staff! You know the type - a complete and utter beast who only listens to the one person in the family who can control it. Yeah...the Double $$ is that wild.

Even though it cosmetically resembles other Corvette models, the Double $$ gets its outrageous attitude and powerful identity from its unique pickup and electronics package. There are two passive MEC humbuckers nestled closely in the center of the body, completely covering the legendary sweet-spot that so many basses miss completely. But this beast has a sensitive side too, which can be accessed via the two mini 3-way switches that allow you to coil tap each humbucker in a variety if ways (hum canceling parallel/series, single coil). To give the Double $$ more flexibility, the passive pickups are matched to a MEC 2-band preamp, making this behemoth a true passive/active hybrid bass " the best of both worlds.

If you look beyond the wild electronics you will see that the Double $$ features some of Warwick´s most valued components. A select swamp ash body for warmth and snap, an ovangkol neck for strength and growl, bell brass frets for resonance and longevity " all these elements blend beautifully to create the perfect performance palate for you and your passion.

warwick $$

The neck is smooth, easy to get around on, and just a joy to play.

Unfortunately I'm not looking for trades at this point.

Thanks for the compliments in PMs and such, it is a pretty awesome bass. Just don't use it enough to justify and need the $$.

All PMs replied to.

Sure you would know how to behave with that second big buck on the slab... You could be as loud and bad as you want and as sophisticated as well. One thing is for sure, this bass gets noticed on stage. Solos? People will want to talk to you during breaks... cool if you're not married or attached, but just make sure you tell 'em your throat is parched. It's definitely a show stopper.

I'm only selling cause I need the $$ to buy my son a new synthesizer, and have a few other basses I can get by with for what I'm playing these days. But I really hate to let it go. It's the real thing for a lot of different styles. Thanks for the bump, man.

about how much does it weigh? I tried looking at the Warwick site, but wasn't sure I was seeing the same instrument.
