Warwick FNA 5 String Bass Guitar

Sign in to disble this ad
Here we have for sale my Warwick FNA 5 string bass guitar, with 'Rockbag' and all original accessories.

It is in excellent condition, with just a small mark on the front near the pickup where I used to rest my thumb, and a couple of tiny dents on the back.

I've had it for about 5 years now, but have hardly touched it for the last 3 years since my rock band split up These days I am playing double bass for all my gigs and the poor Warwick is being neglected. It needs a new home where it will be loved and cherished as it deserves! It still has the original strings on it, which are in pretty good condition, but if you like them super twangy then you will need a new set.

If you've never played a Warwick before, you will be most pleasantly surprised by the meaty "growl" it makes - and also by the enormous sustain that it has!

The low B string feels good and solid and like it is "part of the instrument". When I bought the Warwick I tried out some Fender 5 string bass guitars and the low B on them felt all "wooly" and lacking in bite. The low B on the Warwick is awesome!

The tag on it says
"FNA 5
Oil Finish. MEC MM. 5 MEC 3-Way
fretted wenge Body:Ash/Flamed Maple top A Neck Ovangkol
Warwick 2-Piece Bridge Warwick Bass Machine heads Gold"

The date on the tag is 27.01.05

PRICE:
I was thinking around £750, but feel free to make an offer

DELIVERY:
I would prefer that the buyer collects, but I will investiage courier prices if asked. I do worry about posting such a lovely instrument.

PAYMENT:
By Paypal, or Cash on Pickup

Here's what Warwick's website says about the bass:

FNA

The body of the Warwick FNA bass is made of swamp ash with a bookmatched flamed maple top. The combination of a 3-stripe ovangkol neck (4-stripe on the 5-string model) with a wenge fingerboard with 24 brass-frets ensures the typical Warwick sound. The FNA is equipped with a passive MEC MM-style pickup and an active Seymour Duncan Basslines circuit which guarantees a phat sound.
