Warwick Rockbass Corvette Active 5 - $240 Shipped

Sign in to disble this ad
(Now $215 shipped.)

Hey guys.
I'm selling my Rockbass I picked up used last year.
But before I go any further, I need to note that I don't know if this bass is truly active.
There is a battery compartment, but it might be just for the preamp, or I could be completely wrong...
She is active.
Either way this is a nice 5 string.
I don't know what year it was made, but it's pre-2010, obviously.
It has its fair share of blemishes, but they are kind of hard to see.
I gotta be honest though, it has about 4 or 5 small chips in the paint and a few hair sized scratches.
At the moment I only have one picture. The bass is at the place I play at.

If you don't know, the layout is: volume, balance, lows, highs.

One other thing to mention is that the jack to plug the instrument cable in is a bit loose.
Could never figure out how to fix that, but it never interfered when I played in practice or live, which is probably why I never fixed it or had it fixed.
It has about 1 month old Ernie Ball Regular Slinkies on it.
The action is actually pretty good. Medium-low I would say and the tones you can get are very nice. Pretty diverse really.

I've used this as a backup to my precision when I wanted to actively control the tone or when I needed more than 20 frets.
But now I'm selling because I need some more money for bills and stuff.

Anyways, I'm somewhat firm on $230 shipped, but I might consider a trade for a 4 string. I may even be able to put up a little cash.
Let me know what you have, but as they say, cash is king.

I'll have more pictures by Monday or Tuesday.

I should say that as trades go, I would either prefer a Jazz bass or something with at least 21 frets. Both would be phenomenal.
Not too interested in a P bass or something really similar to this bass.
And like I said, if the bass is right, I could add some cash.

Does the bass make sound with the battery removed? If not, it's active.

I completely forgot to check before I played tonight. I'm going back to where it's at tomorrow, I'll try to remember to check then.

I understand. Haven't had a chance to do anything yet, but according to this website, it has to be active.

Was able to snag a few crappy phone pics before I played on it yesterday and I got a compliment on my sound with it last night, actually.

These are pretty bad pictures. I just can't lug around two basses with me all the time, so I can't take any quality pictures of it from my home.

Anyways:

And you can't tell from these pictures, but the body does have wood texture. The finish is not just that dark blue color. You can see the grain through the finish.
