I've actually played all these! It helps when you live right around the corner though.
Fortress 4 - If I thought I'd actually play a 4 these days, I would buy this in a heartbeat. The bass is absolutely beautiful in person since he put some elbow grease in to refinishing it. It plays effortlessly and the fretless sound is fantastic.
Corvette 6 - I've never been much of a Corvette guy, but this bass changed that for me. The Bubinga is beautiful and the bass sounds clear as a bell. Reminds me of my Thumb in many ways...which is probably why he's selling it since picking up a Thumb of his own
Corvette $$ - Another bass that I would love to take off his hands, if only it was a broadneck...I'm such a wide spacing snob. The tonal options on the Double Buck are so diverse, I really love the various ways this bass can sound. The semi-transparent black finish is hella sexy in person.
It's also worth mentioning that any instrument you get from sting7777 will have an attention to detail that you're likely only to get buying straight from a builder. He is a bit fanatical about his instruments, so you can be guaranteed what you're buying/trading is exactly in the condition he states. He is expert at setting them up as well. I've taken to figuring out tackful ways of getting him to set up my instruments for me these days, as he is 1000% better than me at doing it
