I was asking 225 for the bass and then I dropped the price to 200. I've had a little bit of interests, but because I am wanting to move this and have it shipped out Monday morning, I am dropping the price to
185 shipped! . This bass has over 100 dollars in mods alone. If it does not move for this price, I will part it out.
Although I love passive Jazz basses, I have discovered that I'm at home on 5 string basses. That's where I started playing and that is primarily what I'm going to go back to.
With that being said, this is not only the best looking SX i've ever owned, but it is the best one I've ever had as well. I've owned several with new and old headstocks, but this one takes the cake. The neck is very stable and adjusts like a champ!
The bass is has a red burst finish over a flamed maple top (it's probably not really maple, just a cap, but it looks good!). It has the standard maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. As stated earlier, the neck is very stable.
The bass has been upgraded and is near perfect IMO. The bass came with gold hardware, that was scrapped and the following upgrades were done:
New Chrome Fender Hwy 1 Tuners installed (perfect fit and match). These are WAY better than the stock tuners that these come with.
New Fender Hwy 1 Jazz Pickups installed with new pots and knobs (screw on type, not the cheap press on). The bass sounds great. These pickups sound really good and the pots feel great.
New Fender Bridge. This bridge is way better than the original. Much sturdier and intonates way better.

This bass also is set up with a brand new set of RotoSound strings. The frets have been leveled as well (when I first receieved it)
The bass is in great condition with no major dings or dents.
