Westone "The Rail" - $450 shipped

I took this in trade a couple of years ago when I had a monster urge to own some kind of Steinberger knockoff.

There's nothing particularly wrong with this bass. It looks like a stormtrooper laser rifle and that's pretty cool. I just can't really get into playing a bass that has no body beneath the strings. It's a noticeable sensation. But maybe you will dig it!

When I got it, the action was also a little higher than I liked and this bass is so strange that I just never got around to messing with that.

One thing I did take the time to do was wax pot the pickup to get rid of some slight squeal. It worked. Everything functions properly now.

There is a ding in the headless-head area on the back. It's minor. I showed it in a picture below.

I am including the original silver gig bag (which is in fair condition).

I am asking $450 shipped, but feel free to make offers. I'm not really looking for trades right now.

Everyone should own one of these for a while. If you don't believe moving the p.up a 1/4" can make a big difference in tone this bass will be very educational.

LOL! I have owned one...I was speaking from experience when I said everyone should. No room on the boat for another bass though.

I traded a guy an old SWR cabinet a year or two ago and thought all my dreams were coming true.

If I was still in 3 or 4 active bands like the old days, I'd keep it around just for stage magic... but you know...

I had one back in the early 90's, then it got stolen. Wish I had the cash I'd take this off your hands.

This bass is like a strange little puppy gently scratching at the pet shop window for your love and attention.

I could think of a way to encourage that

Humpday Bumpday.

This bass could be your gateway to a life of bizarre basscraft. Don't dive right into the deep end with one of those aluminum robot-spine deals... start out soft.
