White Squier Precision (VM/MIM Hybrid)

This may look like any other Squier P, but it's something a little different. What we have here is a Squier Vintage Modified Precision body mated with a 1998 Squier neck.

The neck is the interesting bit. It was from the run of Squiers made in Mexico and is a cut above your average Squier neck. I have an American Standard Jazz from the same year and the feel is very similar. Fast and slim for a Precision.

This is a player, and not mint by any stretch of the imagination. The pickguard shows regular playing wear. The Body has a few marks around the edges and one finish scratch between the bridge and guard that I couldn't get to photograph, but it's there. The finish on the neck has been reworked by me around the edges to a nice smooth (glossy) finish.

Loaded with the Duncan pup, cloth wiring, and an orange drop cap for fun, it sounds just like a P should.

And like I said, I tried to get a photo of the scratch

I'm asking $180SOLD for this, shipped in the ConUS.

The only trade I'm interested in is for an Epiphone Dot.

glad you put the neck to good use. looks great!
are you sure its a classic vibe body? looks more like a vintage modified.

yes, VM, my bad. I was typing that in a hurry, I'll fix the OP

The neck is great. It needed a new nut, and I reworked the finish a little, but it is definitely a smooth player.

As I keep learning though, over and over, I'm just not a precision guy.

Yep, Fender black nylon tapewounds indeed.

Kind of a cool string for a precision. Warm but zingy!
