This bass was built by a fellow tb'er - Denny (username MasterBass!).

This is what he's told me about the bass:

Brand new build...MIJ a/m body and electronics, all new! Brand new never played Jazz size maple neck (1.5") vintage ivory binding, offset fret dots, painted headstock and Fender Jazz Bass waterslide, string retainer bar, and brand new vintage 70's style tuners. New vintage style heavy cast bridge with brass saddles.

Brand new brown tortise pickguard. Very nice player, and sounds superb!

That is a Japanese loaded body that is factory built and finished in the old Epiphone Custom Shop factory by a new company who bought it. They use their own old-school ceramic pickups in them. I have no idea what kind of wood they are. I'm trying to buy a couple dozen more...but they are backordered 6-8 months!
