Up for sale is a Fantasy model Wishbass, # 657. I am the original owner of the bass, I purchased it around 2006 if memory serves me correctly. Condition is very good, I used it in church and for a couple of coffee house acts. The following is verbage from the original listing: " The Fantasy Model is the top of the line, just because it looks so cool... Walnut body top and back with a thick Cedar accent stripe between.
It features a two octave fingerboard, and the hot Kent Armstrong Humbucker Soapbar pickup. Five strings, a Maple neck and Body out of mildly Curly Walnut. Bass is about eight pounds on the old bathroom scale.
Buy it Now is 500.00.
The fingerboard is really dark Purpleheart. The neck itself is also Maple with Walnut stringers around a hefty Maple center. Great sound and balance in a one of a kind instrument.
The nut is 2 inches wide. The scale is 34 inches.
The tuners are Grover Mini chromes. The pickup is a Kent Armstrong Hotty with lots of punch. I use this as a guitar pickup on my electrics There is only a volume control. The cover plate is brushed aluminum ... Sprayed lacquer finish... Strap buttons and side dots are standard. After 650 basses sold world wide, we wish to make the following claim. "These are some of the best sounding basses on this planet. And they are about 10% of the price of Boutique Basses." The way we can do this is to sell direct, and put on a minimal finish. If you can dig it, we can supply you a great sounding bass, real reasonable..
Please add 45.00 for shipping in the USA. Case would be $100.00 extra,. Overseas mail to most EU countries, 120.00, Fed ex 250.00 or more. Thanks a lot, and keep on rockin'... wish"
Asking $450.00 including shipping in the CONUS. I am including the Schaller pins, Coffin Case which is really the only hard shell case I could find to fit Wishbasses. If you are not familiar with Wishbass, please do some research beforehand, the finish leaves a lot to be desired, but many, myself included find the styles, tone, and playability to be very satisfactory. Paypal preferred, thanks for looking.
Last pic is difficult to see, but the body curves in to fit your body not unlike a Spector.

The bass alone would be somewhere in the $500 range with the KA in a custom order, probably more; add in free shipping and that's quite a deal on a sweet looking bass.
As I said before if I wasn't in the middle of three refins, with two more on the way I'd take this off your hands! I hope you sell it before I'm ready for it! |

It is a good deal for someone, I hope somebody will enjoy it as much as I have, it is a really sweet playing bass that is always without fail a conversation starter where she gets played.

I will add that the KA p-up is a monster p-up in itself especially if you tie it to a three-way switch to do series/parallel/split switching. If there's someone out there who interested, I'd be happy to offer a nice discount to refin this one for them, add the switching, etc., although, obviously if you've used this live a few times then it's already pretty well 'sorted' as a player.
Anyway good luck with the sale! There must be some lucky buyer out there! |

I'm about to make it very hard on the fenceleaners. 450.00 shipped, I have some vet bills to pay off.

BTW, this bass's nick name is "Deathwish" because I bought her a few days after plunking down a wad of cash for my fanned fret hipper #701. These spousal units just don't understand.
