The World's Most Eye-Catching Bass (Dean Custom Zone)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey, you! Are you tired of laying down the foundation in obscurity while preening singers and prancing guitards get all the attention? Maybe you just need a bass that screams "Look at me!" a bit louder. Submitted for your approval: this Dean Custom Zone Bass in day-glo nuclear green!

Beneath that eye-searing paint is a very solid P-bass-style instrument (basswood body, maple neck). It's been set up and the control cavity is shielded with copper foil, and it's a really nice-playing, punchy-sounding bass. I've gigged with it. It's moment of glory was a show my band played on St. Patrick's Day:

This bass is ready to rock. But, I've got a couple other P-basses and GAS for something new, so this one can now be yours. This thing is as good or better than any TB-beloved SX or Squier, and none of them have its visual impact.

A mere $135 shipped in the continental U.S. Discount for local pickup in Chicago. Don't pass on this and regret it later! PM me with any questions.

Edit: More pictures added! See below.

Meh... not for me.

Doesn't really vibe with the Rickenbacker guitar there in teh background either. IMHO.

I'd buy this just to give my bass player for next St. Patricks Day's gigs.

MOAR PICS!

Note that the neck on this bass is narrower than most Precisions, more like a Jazz neck.

Doctor Bruce Banner: physician, scientist, bass player; searching for a way to tap into the hidden strengths that all humans have.
Then an accidental overdose of gamma radation alters his bass's chemistry.
And now, when David Banner grows angry or outraged, a startling metamorphosis occurs.

"Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like my bass when I'm angry."

Would that be Dr. Bruce Banner's brother?

Well, I missed it. Too bad, it would have been a nice companion to my prism Stingray.
