WTB Maple unlined fretless neck

I am building a tribute bass to my late great teacher Joe Noto. he played a 70's Fretless Precision with a all maple neck. Any brands considered, Mighty Might, All Parts Fender etc. Thanks, Scott

You can get one new from Warmoth for about $180. You would need to finish it yourself but they do make some pretty sold stuff. Or they can finish and it would be around $250.

Either way good luck! I love my maple fretless precision....

Just sayin'...

I have one I bought in 1976 but had it reshaped to fit my old jazz bass. Haven't used it in 30+ years. I don't know if it would fit your bass right though. I might let it go for somewhere around $200.

I'm interested, but I should probably let godofthunder have dibs.

I would try USA Custom Guitars. Haven't ever asked them about a fretless but that must be something they can do.

I would want to specify a quartersawn neck and board.

Also worth putting a decent finish on the board. MAS makes a low viscosity marine epoxy that you can apply like a wiping finish. Three coats would give you an adequate build.

(More than three coats if you're stringing up with rounds).

Thanks for all the replies! I have found a neck, Wish I had seen the $ 200 before though. Who ever is next in line they can have it if they like. Thanks, Scott
