I really hate to part with this bass but I have WAY more basses than I can justify owning

Ya'll know what this is IIRC the serial numbers date back to '83. Overall it's in great shape for it's age but there are some indentations on the front of the body that don't come through in the pics. There are 5 indentations about 3/4" long above the area between the P pickup and the neck. They are shallow and don't break the finish but in the right light are very noticeable Not in the right light and you can't see them like in the photos There are some other minor dings around the edge of the body but nothing bad. This bass has been loved, it's just old. There is NO buckle rash at all on the back.

The neckthru neck is to die for. The setup is low and PERFECT. The tone is also to DIE for. Everything functions perfectly. Comes with the OHSC which is also in nice shape.

I'd like to get $500 shipped, payment via PP or BO. No trades unless you have a serious Nitro RC Heli

It's passive. Not sure what the finish is. If it's not nitro, it's a VERY thin poly.

These are great basses, I have a BB2000 and can tell you that there is nothing better in the same price range.

It's a polyester finish on these, and the base of the bridge extends below the mounting plate and sits in a routed cavity in the body, which provides great bridge/body contact.

The tuners are fabulous - a level of quality far above what you usually see on basses from the big famous company.

The way the bass is built, it's not a long reach to the first fret and these have a sweet top end on them.

If you don't like pickup selector switches (I am one of those people), rewiring the controls for three pots is quick and easy.

Also, nicest stock strap buttons I've come across.
