Here's another hard to find Yamaha. As I stated in another thread, I'm not collecting the old Yamaha's any more even though the love and respect is still there. I'm keeping only a couple and the rest are being sold.
This one won't win any beauty contests but is fully functional and believed to be all original. I took the pictures that would show the flaws at their worst like the milking in some parts of the finish, and some swirls and scratches. I can give some more flattering shots too. $795 with same era Yamaha gig bag.

With Chromes and active-on you can get a very authentic rounds-sound with no string squeak. And with passive, a nice Motown-type vibe. A very versatile instrument. Like a P-Bass (except it has a reversed P-Bass pup - which I really like) on steroids.

The old active three band EQ's may be a little noisy but they give the bass so much versatility tone-wise it's scary.
Bump for a true "classic" of a bass and for a great TB'er! |

It only works in passive mode. |

Sold it when times were tough. When time were better I tried to buy it back but the new owner wouldn't hear of it unfortunately.
Killer basses. If I wasn't playing a fiver these days I would be all over this. Mine was the same color as well. Hmmm......
