Yamaha BB200/300 - $100 shipped

Sign in to disble this ad
New thread to avoid price confusion. $100 shipped to lower 48: Yamaha BB bass (don't know the exact model). It's had an amateur refinish job, has new Schaller tuners, replaced decal, and an unknown pickup/electronics. It has a crack near the E tuner in the headstock, but the former owner tells me that it's been stable for years.

The good: it sounds good, feels good, plays well. Has a REALLY good feeling neck, to my hand at least.

Its a BB300. The pickup routing is the difference. How can you pass up this deal on a genuine "Freden Stratosphere"?

Exactly!

For those who inquired about weight, I unfortunately only have a pretty non-precise analog scale. But the best estimate I can get from that makes it look like 8.5 to 9 lbs. Seems about right.

It's Saturday! No one needs to drop a hundred bucks on a cool Yamaha with issues? Or trade me your old funky MIJ hollowbody for this plus some cash in your pocket?

Do you have any close ups of the body? Why do you refer to it as "amateur? What is the width of the neck at the nut? This may be the backup I need.....

I just mean it appears to be a spray can job, which has obvious flaws if you look closely. Looks great from a distance. Nut width is 1 5/8" (B).

Here's a body closeup.
