For sale is an excellent condition Yamaha BB2004 Nathan East 4 string bass. This is one very nicely crafted bass. The bridge/saddles are individuals and they are recessed into the body for a beautiful finish. The individual saddles help to prevent string crossover sound. The knobs are also recessed into the body for a nice finished look. The body is made of alder with a maple cap. The neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard decorated with mother of pearl block inlays. The neck is also through to the body. It is not a bolt on. This provides for much better sustain. The nut is between a jazz bass and a p-bass in width and the neck has 24 frets. The pickups are P and J configuration for a broad spectrum of tonal capabilities. The electronics are active and include the Nathan East NE-1 magic box. Controls are volume, blend, bass, treble and midrange with the NE-1 switch that changes the midrange focus. Bass looks, sounds and plays great, not to mention that she is a beauty. These were only made available on the states for a couple years. You can no longer be purchased new in the US. New retail was around $2000. As you may know, Yamaha basses are some of the most underrated basses around. Great fit, finish and reliability for a ridiculous price. This one is in excellent condition and still has the plastic on the control cavity cover on the back. Pictures don't do it justice. Asking $550 shipped best offer. PM me with any questions. Thanks for looking.

Reason: Item Sold
Nice bass - I used to have the same bass in white pearl, and have been looking for another one ever since. You got a good deal on this one on E-bay. Do I get a prize for finishing 2nd in the bidding?
