Yamaha BB5000

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently bought a used Yamaha BB5000 from someone here. Amazing bass. It's the old 5 string with 16.5mm string spacing at the bridge. It's a very light bass, probably around 8.5lbs. It's in amazing shape. I'll put up some pictures tomorrow. I'll sell it for what I bought it for, $800 shipped. Comes with the original hard case. Will only ship within the US. No trades. I'm only putting this up because a dream bass is for sale at an unbeatable price. Thanks.

These are nice. Macassar ebony fingerboards, I believe.

These old BBs are the most underestimated basses around. Best quality/price ratio!

Bump for a cool TB'er and a great bass. Fwiw this bass is in better condition than the pix show, tough to get that black to not show every smudge.

Thanks my friend. I may end up holding onto this. I love this bass. It's just that the original bass I was looking at when you contacted me came back up. Anyhow, yes, the bass is in amazing shape.

Anyone reading this....I bought this bass from Mixbass who is the developer of the GrabAxe. I have one and take it to every gig/rehearsal that I have. Amazing little product. Check it out: http://www.grabaxe.com/

As I put this bass up with very little time to try to get the other bass I wanted I missed out on an amazing deal (a bit heartbroken really....It was an old Gretsh hollow body). Anyhow, I'm keeping this bass for the time being. Going to take it out on a theater gig that starts this week and see how it goes. Thanks all.

Sorry you missed the Gretsch but glad you'll keep this for now.
Very happy to hear you're putting the GrabAxe to good use!
I can't imagine schlubbing a stand around ever again.
Have fun in the pit!

Thanks Mick! Yup...the Grabaxe will save me from dinging up my basses from here on out! Love it!

I'll get my money's worth out of this Yamaha. I'll be playing thurs through sun for the rest of the summer...no breaks. That's a pretty good way to see what a bass can do eh? Stay well Mick!
