I got this in a trade about a month ago, and it kicks serious ass. However, another instrument on my "gotta-get-it" list came up, and I need to fund it.
Here is the original ad. It's still in identical shape. I gigged the bass twice, and it's a great live instrument: light in weight, comfy, and with a beefy, organic, and very versatile tone. I've owned Steinberger Spirits, and this bass has a vastly better build quality, feel, and tone. It's a lot warmer than a graphite-necked "real" Steinberger, too.
Reviews can be seen here. This bass has 5-piece neck thru construction, it is a great example of the top-quality construction and design that was coming out of Japan in the 80's. The best access to the upper register that I've ever played - take full advantage of a 2 octave neck! It blows away the Cort or Hofner headless basses that you can find on ebay at much less cost. Takes regular, single ball strings, too.
I'm really pressured for time until Thanksgiving, I will update the photos and include them in this ad after the holiday.
