This is a really cool Yamaha but I'm just not collecting the old Yamahas any longer.

This bass wasn't offered in the US but it somehow made it's way over from Japan. It's one of the few Yamaha basses that will have a Maple Fretboard and Jazz pickups. The neck is more P like and real beefy but so is the tone but with a good bite because of the maple.
Reverse Offset Body- Maple/Mahogany/Maple
Neck/Fretboard- Maple
Pickups- Yamaha Jazz in Soapbar size casings
Vol-Vol-Tone
See Thru Red
Reverse Tuners- These are old but fuction well. I don't think they are stock but I'm not 100% sure.
Oversize Nato tone bar/skunk stripe
Tone knob is not original.
The bass has a wear spot thru the red finish on the back of the upper horn. Looks like the previous owner wore the bass really low around the belt buckle area. Of course being 30 years old it has it's bumps. No cracks.
If you don't buy this one, who knows when another one will come around.
