Very hard to find first gen japanese TRB 4P. Serial number dates to 1989. Black with gold hardware in great condition. P/J pups, piezo bridge and all electronics in perfect working order. Headstock, neck and fretboard have no imperfections whatsoever. A few minor dings and scratches in the body, all on the sides and back and nothing deep enough to chip paint. Paint and finsh is still shiny and glossy. Only signs of age are on the bridge and tuners as the plating is getting worn out and tarnished. Everything original with the exception of the E string tuner, but the replacment is identical, just doesn't say yamaha. For a 22 year old instrument, she's in overall very good to excellent condition.
Sound is very versatile with the 3 pickup combinations, excellent Precision tone, and punchy jazz bridge pickup. When blended in with the piezo, you get some killer unique tones. Action can be set extremely low even with light strings. Neck is fat but fast, I have found that this bass is equally as easy to pick, slap, or finger. True versatility. Specs are in the link below. I will have several HQ pics by the weekend. I'm asking $800 shipped to the con US in a brand new fender deluxe gig bag. TRB4P - TRB Series - Basses - Guitars & Basses - Musical Instruments - Products - Yamaha United States

I just moved and can't seem to find which box the digi cam is in, pics may be delayed a day or two.
I gave it an extensive cleaning and polishing. Looks absolutley beautiful all shined up. I never had it looking this clean, bridge doesn't even look worn anymore.
Also, trades considered would be a hartke 5210 combo or any hartke lh head plus cash. |
