Yamaha TRB-5P

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD

Up for grabs...1992 Yamaha TRB-5P. These are highly sought after basses. They were high quality basses but priced themselves out of the market. At final production, the list price was in the neighborhood of $3500 or so.

Flame maple body with translucent red finish. 5 piece maple neck with ebony board. 34" scale and 24 frets and 19mm spacing at the bridge. Everything on this bass works including the piezo bridge pickups. Dial in almost any sound that you want! Comes with original Yamaha hard case. Bass is in excellent condition. Has some minor playing wear but no major dings or finish chips. The bass has just been professionally setup and new Black Diamond strings installed. It plays like butter

$950 shipped will trade for a single pickup Stingray 5

A local player here in Lakeland has two of these. Last year, he drove to NC to pick up his second one. They are two of the nicest playing 5ers I've ever played at any price. If my RC Helicopter wasn't costing me a ton right now, I'd JUMP on this!!!

I love these basses! This one's in really nice shape too.

Bump for a great price on a vintage beauty.

The headstock veneer is actually rosewood. It stands out nicely!

If I get rid of the bass I'm trying to sell, I'd be seriously considering this.

It is around 9.5 pounds or so. While not the lightest bass around, it is still not super heavey either. In the end, it is still a big piece of flamed maple.
It is actually still balanced well, IMHO. I have not had any neck dive issues or anything like that.
