**SOLD**
I picked up this Zon just last week. It is one beautiful bass. After a couple days in my den, I realized this isn't for me. The bass is amazing for sure, but my playing skills are sorely lacking. Combine that with the fact that I would only play it for an hour a week maybe, and I have come to the conclusion that I need to move it on to someone who will play it right and use it.
Here is a link to the thread where I bought it: Zon Legacy Standard 5, fretless, green quilted maple!
I paid $1850 for the bass and then added a brand new hardshell case from Zon that was fitted for the bass. There is a brand new set of Zon strings on it, as well as a set of new TI strings in the case.
$2300 gets it shipped insured via FedEx Express to your door in the continental 48. Cash and local deals, I will knock off $100. I am not looking to make a profit in this deal, just get my money back out of it.
Send me a PM if you want it.
-Mike

34" scale
9-10 pounds
The case was purchased in person from the Zon shop. When the case was purchased, the bass was there so the case could be fitted to fit snugly. The case is brand new.

$1850 - bass
$ 200 - Custom fitted Zon hardshell case
$ 150 - padded selling price to allow for negotiation
$ 100 - shipping and handling

$2100 shipped/insured via FedEx Express (NOT ground). If you come pick it up, you can have it for $2000. The new price gets you the bass, the Zon case, a spare set of TI strings, and a chin guard to protect your jaw when it hits the floor when you open the case for the first time.

The means you are getting the bass for the original $1850, and I am only charging $150 for a brand new Zon case I just paid $200 for two weeks ago. I think the Zon cases are actually $300 if you called and ordered one. Plus, I will ship FedEx Express on MY dime.

Now I can stop racking my brain on how I can gather enough scratch to afford it ... and if a lined board really means that much to me. Sometimes GAS can be quite hard on a fella ... good thing my GAS is now jealousy.
(you wouldn't happen to have a lined 519 hiding anywhere ... would you? )

| | Online | | Join Date: Apr 2001 Location: Sunapee, New Hampshire | | | The bass itself is simply amazing. Not a single thing wrong with it. I came to the realization after a few hours playing it that I suck too bad at playing bass to be able to play an unlined fretless. Sure, the bass made my crappy playing sound good, but I need those white lines on the board to know where to hold my finger.
With that being said...the thread is now locked so it can sink to the bottom of the TB ocean.
