Zon Sonus 8 string - super rare - crazy light!

Sign in to disble this ad
I know it's a cliche to say this, but . . . it pains me.

This is a completely original 1999 Zon Sonus 8 string in transparent red (called 'Sienna Red' at the time). I am the original owner. Joe Zon and I had several conversations about this bass back in 98. I wanted something super light and resonant. He delivered. This bass is crazy light - 7.9 pounds on my digital scale! It is also, as promised, incredibly resonant and alive. If you've been looking for an 8 string to play the rock and roll music I hear the kids are into these days, look no further!

1999 Zon Sonus 8 string
Sienna Red
Graphite neck
Super light ash body
7.9 pounds
Bart single coils
2 band Bart pre (9V)
Stacked knob setup - vol/vol bass/treble
Original 'ultralight' hardshell case with cool Zon logo

$1499 PayPal shipped to your door in CONUSA / no trades

Here's a little video I did to give you a better idea . . .

Zon Sonus 8 string bass - YouTube

Right - and now, without further ado . . . pix. PIX!!

Ever since I saw the bassplayer from MIRV play one I've wanted one. Must think about this.

I've only ever played an eight string once -- it was a used Hamer, a bit of a chore to play, but almost unbelievably fun. This one looks like it would be a good time. Really pretty, too.

Hard to tell from the pics, but are those independently adjustable saddles for the octave and bass strings?
