Designed for and in collaboration with Todd Johnson, the TJ embodies features designed for the solo bassist with a desire to stretch out. The twenty-six fret fingerboard and uniquely sculpted extended cutaway, make chordal progressions and soloing in the upper regions unre- scricted. The alder body and quilt maple top voice this bass with nicely rounded lows, moderate mids and clear highs. Chordal style bassists in particular, will enjoy the piano-like richness and clarity of tone this bass has.

I have one of these, although mahogany w/ maple top...I just have to say that they are incredible instruments. Completely worthwhile and a steal at this price. Mine cost over $5k. They play like no other bass. You can set the action so low and still each note is clear, punchy, singing, agressive or sweet.

I sure do miss my Zon's. All 12 of them... Hard to beat a good Zon, and this one looks amazing. Joe's fretless basses are usually extra special.
