I'm desperate for funds yet again, so I am trying this yet again.
Andreas history:
Andreas Pichler is the Austrian genius behind these instruments. He was formally trained in luthiery since he was 14 years old. He and a crew of about three others produced about 400 Andreas Shark instruments from about 2001-2003. String manufacturer Thomastik-Infeld bought Andreas out in 2003 and fizzled out production all together.
Earlier Shark basses all came with Alembic AE-3 soapbars and Alembic 2-band active preamps, aluminum fingerboards, extended scale, and transparent finishes. The guitars had options of HSS or HH configurations from EMG, Schaller, Seymour Duncan, or Andreas own custom made p/ups. They also featured unique transparent burst fishes, aluminum boards, aluminum headstocks, and hard tail roller bridges or strat style tremolos. Later versions of the guitars and basses had rubberized opaque finishes, wood fingerboards, cheaper electronics, and overall cheaper components. There are some instruments made during transition period; for example, someone here on TB has a rare version of the Shark 5 bass with Alembics and aluminum coupled with the rubberized finish.
Both of these Andreas instruments are the older original top-of-the-line versions.

The condition of both of these is excellent to near-mint. They both have a factory flaw at the edge of the upper arm rest where there appears to be a seam in the ash. They also have an indentation at the edge of the truss adjustment cavity. The Bull Shark has a very small flaw near the factory flaw on the edge of the body, a pin head mark on the back of the headstock, and another small flaw on the back corner of one of the headstock 'tips'. The Basking Shark has small superficial indentation on the back of the lower bout. It also has an indentation on the back of the headstock, oddly enough underneath the G tuner, as if it was done at the factory. I've gone over these with a fine-tooth comb and described them in as great a detail as I could. This is for any collectors out there. If you're looking to actually play these, in reality you most likely won't even notice the flaws.
The prices include the GIGBAG only. The first one to buy one of these will have a choice. They will be able to choose the bigbag, or for an extra $100, choose the heavy duty flight case. The person to buy the remaining bass will have whichever is left.
Basking Shark 5 string: $2150
Bull Shark 4 string: $2050
Prices INCLUDE FREE shipping in the continental US. I accept PayPal, but I MUCH prefer US Postal Money Orders. I will gladly ship internationally, but at an additional cost, of course.
I will work on getting quality sound clips that accurately portray the tone of these basses.
