Here's the real thing...all tubes, all the way, baby!
This '74 Bassman 100 (as dated from transformer codes) has a quad of nearly new JJ 6L6 power tubes (one of the best!) and lots of updates for functionality. New filter caps and electrolytic caps on the main circuit board. New diodes (old ones were fine, actually). New resistors on the power tubes. One new tube socket on the power tube farthest into the cab. New power cord.
The amp is really low noise and has lots of clean power. All the pots and jacks work well, with no crackling. The bias balance has been converted to true bias adjust to optimize performance.
The tolex and grillcloth show their age but are in reasonable shape, with a bit of mojo. The head cab has a couple of holes in the bottom where those metal bars were once attached to keep the amp on a tilted cab (I can include those if you'd like, along with the original caps that were removed).
Why hunt down one that's needing first aid and then sink the bucks into fixing it up? This amp is ready to go!
Price dropped to $400 + shipping. I have 100% positive eBay feedback for 41 transactions (seller name: tornadobass). Email for additional pix.
