I think the early models were made in China then production was switched to the U.S. (I think).

I had one and never had a problem with it; also these MIC models have the nice convenient combo output jack (both quarter inch and speakon) while for some reason the new MIA models only have a speakon output jack. Great deal; good luck with the sale! Only sold mine to fund my MB Fusion.

Don't know why GK would go from a combo speaker output jack to a speakon only. They must have saved a few pennies on that change. This is my second one, love the tone, size and convenience. I use it for practicing at home mostly. I've also got a Carvin BX500 which is a great underrated head that I use out.
