We're moving and it costs to move stuff. As part of moving, had to gracefully depart my band and while I may start/join one after I move, it's not certain and I doubt we'd play anywhere that needs this much rig.
So my slowly and carefully acquired Music Man rig is on the block as I have smaller setups that will cost less to move...
These setups are well-known around here, so I'll keep the yacking to a minimum. Feel free to check my feedback here or on eBay as "mill17". I would prefer to sell the entire stack as a unit (and you'll likely prefer to play it that way), but I'll entertain offers for parts of it -- but please make an offer if that's what you want to do. Say "I'll give you $XYZ for the A and the B", don't just go "would you be willing to ...". Will save us both some time and PMs.
I have no good way to ship these (maybe the head, though I'd rather not), so unless you are south of Santa Barbara, north of Tijuana or west of Vegas (or are willing to drive into such areas), sorry. Those cabs sound great because they are made from dense plywood and are heavy. Shipping would be expensive (and no one wants that).
Up for grabs is an Audiophile series rig that has been with me through several bands and been rolled onto many a fine SoCal stage. Despite that action, it's in great shape because I take care of my gear. Here's a picture:
Rig includes the HD-500 amp with tube pre in an 8 slot SKB rack case along with a Furman PL-II plus power conditioner/distributor, Korg DT-1000 tuner, BBE 362 Sonic Maximizer (weird, I know), original footswitch, HD-210 cabinet, HD-212 cabinet on wheels and cables to hook it all together.
The amp has an amazing array of sound sculpting capabilities and 2 separate foot-switchable channels. This TB thread from a recent sale has much discussion and more pictures (though my amp is in better shape than those pics).
Musicman HD-500 Hybrid Amp. I really like the full sonic coverage -- the pair of 12s generate plenty of low end, the 10s add a nice punch and the 6" driver in the HD 212 provides a smooth transition to the horns in the HD 210.
Here are a couple TB threads about the cabs:
Music Man Audiophile cabs and
musicman bass amps though if you search the forums, you will find many more.
Here are some more pics -- the head and the foot switch:
$1200 and you can play it at the office holiday party. You can come to me in Huntington Beach or I will meet you somewhere we agree to (though me packing and driving requires advance payment).
Happy new year of sounding better than ever!
Thanks for looking...Millard
