Any chance you'd be willing to part out the speaker?

It sounds BIG and smooth the scoop reinforces the lower notes below 100 Hz.
The Speaker / Cabinet is 4 ohms as first posted.
The speaker, according to JBL spec, will handle 600 watts continous pink noise... (Pink noise is bottom heavy and matches the frequency response of the human ear.)

If you play a real trebly sound you might need a top cabinet depending on your desired sound.
JBL quotes the frequency response to be 30 Hz to 3000Hz

here is the link for the spec sheet on the speaker

I'm not 100% certain, but that may be against policy. Don't quote me on it though.

Edit:
Quote:
Q: What if someone’s asking price is too high?

A: Sellers are entitled to ask any price they want for their item. Please do not contact a seller regarding their prices unless you’re interested in purchasing the item. Also, do NOT question a seller's price in a For Sale thread. Making offers is OK, but thread interference will not be tolerated. (HD's edit)
Maybe here... I dunno... I wouldn't like someone saying that when I'm trying to sell something.

That is actually a very interesting design.

A 18" JBL driver in a cab designed to enhance its
already superior performance and quality strikes
me as pretty interesting.

But then I am a cab hoe, I guess.

If you think creating a 6.5+ earthquake on the Richter scale
isn't fun, go on to the mass produced kiddie cabs.

Hey FG, how about some background on it? How old is it?
Where did you acquire this unusual piece btw?

I have no idea how old it is nor who made it..I do know that I have reinforced it to cure some vibrating internal pieces...rock solid now...

It was purchase from an EBay seller living in Newport News Va.
I took my wife to Va. Beach for a winter vacation and on the way home we stopped and picked it up.
It fit into the back of a PT Cruiser with plenty of room to spare...
It is made from 3/4 and 1 inch MDF Particle board, real dense but manageable.
