hey people,
the ol' fliptop is back up for sale. It sounds SO damn good, but my studio sound is moving in a more modern direction thanks to my EA gear, and the Ampeg is starting to collect dust once again. Hopefully, one of you lucky bastards will give it a great home and enjoy it's tubey vintage Jamerson thump! Original tolex, speaker, and logo, but the caps have been replaced as well as the original tubes. I have 2 JJ gold pin ax7s in the preamp and 2 70's NOS gold pin Lifetime 7868s and a JJ 5ar4 rectifier. I'm a cab whore so you can run anything cool by me as far as trades go, but I'm REALLY looking for a 5 string p, j, or pj of ANY make. Also, somewhere along the line somebody had a line out installed on the back of the head, which can feed an 8 ohm speaker to give you 25 all tube watts at 4 ohms with an extension cab! I took a pic of the only spot of tolex damage and it's smaller than a quarter. $700!
