1966 Fender Showman (tone ring) cab w/JBL K140

selling one of my favorite sounding cabs of all time, an early '66 blackface vintage Fender Showman with a JBL K140 in it. I regrilled it with OEM fender grill cloth, mounted new genuine Fender corners, tiltback legs, handle, thumbscrew recepticles and thumb screws. the original tolex is a little rough (especially on the bottom), but I've glued & sealed any areas that were loose/torn and cleaned it thoroughly so it presents itself very well. the logo on it is it's original one and not a reissue. the JBL has an original OEM JBL K140 cone and has no sonic issues whatsoever (i.e., it sounds great).

asking $650 + actual shipping or free local pickup.

here's a couple of pics of it (with more pics to follow):

and here's a pic of the JBL K140 that is in it:

Those JBLs speakers were some of the first high powered MI speakers going. I had a Dual Showman with 2 of these and the sound was unreal. And the SPL for those days was incredible.

I'll bet that speaker was $200 bucks in 1967. You can't imagine how much money $200 was in 1967.

Beautiful piece of Fender gear. Good luck with the sale.

Oh man, that is too pretty. Wish I could nab it and pair it with my 200s. It'd make a sweet recording setup.

With a new bassman 100t, that would be off the charts awesome.

I have one like that and it is good for any guitar amp [combo] with an extension jack. Currently the bass player with Neil Young uses two Showman cabinets standing on their side with two heads. A worthy piece of gear!
