1973 Ampeg SVT $1000

For Sale: 1973 Ampeg SVT.

I picked this up on CL earlier in the week, but don’t have the time or resources to restore it properly. Works fine, but will probably need to be checked out. Comes with a road case for the head. Asking what I paid for it.
$1000 Cash, FIRM
Located in Nashville

Serial and other identifying numbers? All speakers original CTS? Manufacturing numbers on them? More pics would be great. Thanks.

The cab has six original CTS drivers, and two 80’s Ampeg OEM Eminence drivers in the bottom row. I’m happy to email additional pics to serious potential buyers. Thanks, -Bill

I wouldn't ask if I weren't serious. I obviously don't want to drive a great distance to Nashville, then spend a good sized chunk of money and drive a great distance back without confirmation of what the year(s) of the pieces are, originality, conditon, functionability and other important items. For instance, from what little I can see on the existing pics, no tolex, wrong grill and head cover matrial, no emblems, no dolley cart and possibly wrong knobs, to start with. There are serial numbers in a couple of places that are fairly easy to see and get to on the head. One on the right side of the back lower metal panel and one on the frame, visible when you remove the back lower panel and wire mesh grill. You can also see date codes on several items at this point that would be important in dating the head. Cab should have a white tag at the front bottom with numbers etc. The CTS speakers start with 137 and the rest is manfactured date. Need to know what all of those are. Also, what do you mean by "works fine, but will need to be checked out?" Something not quite right or near ready to go bad, look bad or blow up or something?

As stated, pictures for everything would be very beneficial. Send them to me personally if it's easier. bigojunky@msn.com. Thanks.
