1976 Ampeg v4b All Restored

Im selling the majority of my keeper collection to fund a house downpayment. Now up for sale is my beloved Ampeg V4b recently had over $600 in total restoration work done. New transformer, caps, matched winged c tubes power tubes, all new preamp tubes, and the list goes on to get this running as new. All work done by pro amp tech dean zink. It does have 6550 power tubes which is a factory acceptable upgrade and makes it a little louder and very similar to a vintage early 70s svt. This is a great head.

SWEET! And this is a great price for one in this level of condition/restoration, IMHO. Go find one at $600 and you'll have more than $940 in it after tubes and cap job.

Sure. Let me get some this afternoon. This head has not been gigged since the work. I just played it this morning and forgot how awesome the tone is.

Bump, did a live band/video shoot with this plus a miked 610 as the backline. They also had my direct signal going to the board. Sounded killer, awesome amp to have in anyone's collection!

how many watts is this at 2, 4, and/or 8 ohms?

This is a unique tube amp in that is has a selector for 2,4, or 8 ohm. It's all tube so rated at 100 watts. My tech said it is actually pulling around 135 watts. Comparable in volume to a 400 to 600 watt solid state but the tone is fuller and more organic. I also have a mesa walkabout 300 watt and this head seems louder.
