1x15 8 ohm Cab - $100 (MD/VA/DC/PA)

Sign in to disble this ad
2x10 is sold. Still have the 1x15 up for grabs.

Not looking to ship, but will meet within a reasonable distance. Nice speaker in solid, but not "name brand" box.

Sonic 1x15 Bass Cab (8ohms) - $100

16" D x 25.5" H x 23.5" W

Replaced the speaker a few years back with an Eminence 15" speaker, but haven't put a ton of playing time on it. Two parallel inputs. One of the last hand-built Sonic cabs. Plays/sounds great, just going for something different.

Buy it for $100, and I'll throw in my KMD GS700SB head. It's loud and works, but has scratchy pots/inputs and is cosmetically "well loved".

Hard to find specs on it, but the "700" in the model name, if you follow how KMD did things, means it's a 700watt solid state head.

Bump it Up!

Bump for a great TBer!!! Super nice!!! The cab is actually pretty amazing by itself and paired with my Peavey Tour 115 it creates this wall of smooth bass that is so awesome!! If I didn't have a 15" I'd be all over this one!

Thanks Chris! It was great meeting you and I'm glad to see it sounds like the 2x10 is working out for you!

Went and pulled the speaker to show you the following:

The googles aren't that forward with information, but it physically looks like an Eminence Kappa-15A. Someone who knows better may correct me. I'm sending the info to Eminence to confirm. If it is, then you can get a the speaker, in a cab, for less than the cost of the speaker alone.

Would also trade for a comparable 4 ohm 15" speaker (that's right, just the speaker!).

Whacky update form Eminence:

Quote:
Hi Paul,

151095 was a custom designed OEM speaker that we manufactured to one of our customer's specifications. It is an 8 ohm speaker with a 4" voice coil and a 109 oz ceramic magnet. We do not rate OEM designs (that is left up to the customer to test and rate their cabinet or amp), but a conservative thermal power rating based on the voice coil diameter would be about 450 watts. Here are the T/S parameters:

05-RE OHMS 6.40 13-FS HZ 40.43
06-LE MH 1.39 14-MMS GMS 88.92
07-QM 4.91 15-CMS mm/N .1743
08-QE .270 16-RMS NS/M 4.5984
09-QT .260 17-VAS LTRS 186.49
10-XMAX MM 3.70 18-SD SCM 872.88
11-BL TM 22.98 19-EBP 147.7
12-EFF % 4.34 20-SPL dB 98.4
Maybe I should raise the price since this is a custom speaker.
