2010 Ampeg SVT-810e

This cabinet is less than 6 months old, but HAS BEEN GIGGED and has 2 small tears on the tolex, which were resecured with crazy glue and look fine, otherwise it's in perfect condition.

Now, there's been a lot of discussion about these cabinets and the changes that have been made during the transition from SLM to LOUD. Here's what I know. I've owned / toured with two SVT-810e's made by SLM between 2001 and 2006, and my opinion fits nicely with the general consensus that these cabinets had absolutely nothing going on above 600hz. "Muffled" & "Muddy" are two words that followed this cabinet around like a bad odor. I know for a fact that at least one and probably both of the SLM cabs I used were made of particleboard and had off-brand drivers... I cant say anything for the very few (roughly 360) cabinets that were made in Vietnam during that transitional period, but my cabinet is one of the completely revamped Chinese cabs. This thing sounds better than any of the 4 I've played over my lifetime and WAAYYY better than the two mentioned above. Do a search and you find several guys talking about the new LOUD cabs sounding punchier, clearer and having far superior upper midrange & treble extension than the outgoing run from SLM. Mine is an ALL-PLYWOOD cabinet with Eminence drivers, T-nuts and heavy acoustic batting in each of the sealed chambers.

This thing POUNDS and no matter where you are on stage in relation to the cabinet, or how far away, you can feel that thing pounding and thumping right behind you.

I will drive up to an hour and a half from the Albany, NY area to deliver this cab, but it cannot be feasibly shipped.

These are $999 plus tax or freight or both new. I'd like to see $650 for this one. If you come pick it up right from the practice spot I will knock some off.

Make me a reasonable offer. Get at me before Monday and I will include some heavy Monster Speakon cables... one 6ft one 21ft.
