Accugroove 208 Clone

Sign in to disble this ad
It is a 2x8" with a 6" Eminence mid range and a pair of tweeters.

4 Ohm, rated for 350 Watts, but that's optimistic. It weighs under 30 pounds, and works and looks fine.

$225 shipped CONUS. I like Paypal.

Enclosures West was the builder if I remember correctly.

I'm much more interested in cash, but what the heck - what you got?

Is that a combo jack, or Speakon only?

Dimensions?

If this thing don't move, its going to get turned into a lab animal.

Bad things happen to lab animals in the name of science.

Bump.

How does it handle a low B string , and is it alright for stand alone in medium venue , or is it better for just small venues and a 4 string bass. Very interested

It is a small venue cabinet when there's a five string involved.

Two eights have a little less displacement than a single twelve.

I wouldn't recommend it for use with a five string at volumes beyond coffee house.

In terms of one Watt at one Meter, I lack the gear to make a good measurement.

Using the ear dyno - I find myself turning down one click on my amp with this cabinet vs. an Epifani T-112. The 208 is four Ohm, that is a factor.

You might want to throw this on the Upright side. Those players covet the rare EA VL208. Not sure how the specs of the two amps would compare, but yours is about one-third the price. And 8" speakers sound great with uprights. Just a thought....
