Accugroove El Whappo Up for sale here is my Accugroove El Whappo bass cabinet. This cabinet is a monster. I bought last year here on Talkbass. My band did not have sufficient PA to run my bass through it so I would need to project from the stage. After doing a lot of homework I chose the El Whappo. This cab did not disappoint! I have never heard such tight bottom end from a bass cabinet. The band recently bought a larger pa so my bass runs through it now. I now only need a small cabinet to monitor my bass tone on stage. For this reason I have decided to sell the Accugroove. The cabinet is in great shape and comes with the original cover. The crossover also has a switch that allows you to run the cab at either 4 or 8 Ohms. The cabinet specs can be found here: Massive output in a manageable size. Physically and sonically the Accugroove El Whappo bass cab is big. It's got more moxie and mojo than most standard backline rigs. It can easily replace your 8x10 or multi-cab stack but probably weighs less (only 88 lbs.). The grandaddy of Accugroove's unique four-way cabs, the El Whappo brings together a 15" subwoofer, 12" woofer, 6" midrange, and 2 high-frequency tweeters in one cab. Accugroove uses custom, lightweight neodymium-magnet speakers, and houses them in their own individual enclosure specifically tuned for optimal response. Every panel in an Accugroove cabinet is constructed from premium 3/4" void-free plywood using traditional dado and rabbet joints. Each cab has lots of other quality features: steel vibration-free grille; self-resetting protection circuit for midrange and high-frequency drivers; stackable locking corners; comfortable recessed handles; reliable 1,000W crossover circuit; 2 sealed 1/4" jacks; 2 Speakon jacks; and removable casters. I would prefer not to ship due to the size and weight of the cabinet. I am sure shipping would be at least $100.00. I would be willing to drive up to an hour to deliver the cab. I am asking $775.00 for the cabinet. New, these cabs had a retail over $2000.00. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking! |
Great price for a great cab! Wally |
Man, if this were only the neo version! Whoops, should have read more carefully first. It is neo! I was thinking ceramic due to the weight - I think the later ones came in a bit lighter. |
El Whappo One cabinet that does it all bump! |

A neighbor! I'm in 29204. I saw your ad on CL this morning, too bad I've got no need for your cab. Bump for a local! |
Thanks for the bump neighbor! |
El Whappo This cabinet can fit in the back seat of many cars. I drive a Volkswagon Jetta and it fits in back seat. Moving the El Whappo around is like moving a Goliath 4x10 except the El Whappo is a few inches taller. BUMP |
