Acme B1s

I am selling two Acme B1 cabinets. They are 8 ohms come with covers and have inserts so that they can be placed on speaker stands.

These are excellent hi fidelity PA cabinets in addition to being wonderful bass speakers.

I like them a lot. In fact I prefer their sound over the AI and EA speakers I started using. However, while 31 lbs does not seem like a lot, an injured back changes that outlook.

$300 each plus shipping which will be based on distance box size and weight (35 lbs).

Hi - are these covered with carpet or Tolex? Do they have the new or old connector plates? Photos? Thanks.

These are great-sounding cabs, period; and sound good will almost any head. If you own a G-K MB 200, however, you really must hear it combined with one of these cabs. It's one of the best head/cab combinations I've ever heard.

I have pondered getting a couple of these for a long time, but I just don't think it would end up being enough juice for me. Regardless, these are giving me GAS, so here's a bump.

Worth noting that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. A stacked pair couple up and sound pretty impressive IMO.

What kinds of gigs would you say that the pair would be capable of doing?

Two cabs were overkill for big band indoors but fine for outdoords. Two were fine for loud blues band in small club. Outdoor bluesband gigs w/o PA support two weren't enough (but I had four).

Bump for nice cabs. Hope they're still around after the holidays!

Cabs arrived last week. Haven't had much time for playing, but digging them so far. Really great sound from such small boxes!!

Thanks again, Alan!
