Acoustic 150 Head

2 Attachment(s)
For Sale is my Early to Mid 1970s Acoustic 150 Guitar/Bass Amp. I believe this is a 1974 model, based on research from early Acoustic Brand manuals.

This amp is a POWERHOUSE! Plain and simple. Rated at only 125 watts, it is hard to explain, but this old school solid state head performs with the best of them! Tons of headroom, and it takes pedals like a champ!

It has 2 channels, each with their own high and low gain inputs. One channel is just volume, treble, and bass. I use this channel for straight in bass signal. The 2nd channel has the same controls as channel 1, but also includes controls for reverb and tremolo. Simple control set, and some AWESOME reverb.

Vintage Acoustic stuff is known for its reliability and versatility, and performs far beyond what the wattage rating implies. This thing is LOUD!

This isn't the Guitar Center brand Acoustic that today's world sees. This is original Acoustic gear. The really reliable kind! There are also plenty of videos on YouTube as well if you need to hear this.

Obviously, since it is going on 40 years old, it is not in mint condition. The metal corners are slightly rusty, but can probably be cleaned with steel wool. I will try to do so tonight or tomorrow. The 3-prong end of the power cord was replaced at some point I believe, and the part where it goes into the amp is slightly frayed, but I have never had any noise issue or power issues. A full power cord replacement is a very cheap fix if you would prefer to do so. Other than that, there are a few scuffs, but no big tolex issues. Overall a 7-7.5/10 on a condition scale. For an amp of this age, that is awesome I would say.

Any questions, please feel free to ask!

Specs:
125 Watts RMS
High and Low Gain Inputs
Two (2) Channels
Bright Switch
Variable Volume, Treble, and Bass
Reverb and Tremolo

$200 or best offer plus I will negotiate the shipping costs with buyer. I live near Pittsburgh, and if I have to ship to California or somewhere far away, I would prefer to work out a shipping arrangement with buyer. I am not going to make you pay the full shipping cost, but would just like to quote the shipping based on where the buyer is from.

Local pickup also near Pittsburgh.

This makes me miss my old 370 head. These amps are loud and clear, best run thru an old school cab. GLWS

Yea. It was one of mine too. The 370 just has the tone and power I need right now, so the 150 just sits around.

I had a 360 too, and the obligatory 301 1-18 reflex bottom. I used live in Pittsburgh too.... I'll be playing @ 7 springs in April......
