This is an oldie but a goodie! I believe it was made in 1978.
Acoustic Model 220. It is rated at 160 watts, but that is by far a conservative rating. This amp has plenty of power to keep up with a typical rock/blues/country bar band. Plus, it can safely run at 2 ohms. It is equal to, or better than, an Behringer BX4500, Ashdown MAG300, Hartke 4000, Ampeg B2R, etc. I know, I've tried them all.
The amp has 0dB and -10 dB inputs, bright switch, volume, treble, mid, bass, a switchable power boost that gives you a little extra kick for solos and a footswitchable 5 band graphic EQ. Out back are the preamp out, power amp in jacks, footswitch jack and two parallel speaker outs. Like all classic Acoustic heads it has the extra long AC cable, at least 10 feet long.
I initially bought this head as a back up when my main head need some work done. It filled in admirably and I was very tempted to keep this as my main. It is very flexible in the tone department. It is very easy to get anything from a vintage sound to a more modern one. The frequency centers on the EQ are 70, 125, 350, 820 and 2000 Hz, which is what allows the tonal flexibility. As I mentioned before, it can safely run at 2 ohms without an issue.
The amp has been well cared for and there are no cosmetic nor functional issues with it.
