Acoustic Image Clarus 1 (Series III) For Sale Only - PRICE DROP !

SOLD (ebay) !!

Acoustic Image Clarus 1 (Series III) for sale. Rarely available used. This is the single-channel version. It is in perfect working condition and near-new cosmetic shape. I've used it as a back-up, so it has received almost no use. It looks just like this one:

AI heads have always been better known among double bassists than electric bass guitarists and, frankly, I've never understood why. Acoustic Image was making micro amps before the term was coined. This amp is 10.2" wide, 8.2" deep and 3.5" high. It weighs less than 5 lbs.! It produces 250 watts at 8 ohms, 400 watts at 4 ohms and, sporting a true 2-ohm rating, 500 watts at 2 ohms. These heads are more than rugged and reliable, AI customer service is legendary and it was made right here in the good old US of A.

I've always agreed with those who said the AI makes amps that are super clean and warmer-sounding than most solid state heads. If you're a knob twister who seeks elaborate EQ controls--or a shredder who wants grit and grind and distorted excess--in a self-contained head, this amp ain't for your kind. If, however, you like clean and deep and warm in a small & simple package, and if you are willing to add a pedal for distortion or an outboard preamp if you really think you need it, this head was made for you.

The manual, including detailed specifications for the Clarus I and its Series III relatives, is at this link: http://www.acousticimg.com/manuals/M...ads%20sIII.pdf.

SOLD on ebay! $525.00 shipped in the continental US. Included with the head are the original factory tote bag (in very good shape), the original AI speaker cable (neutrik-to-1/4") the power cord and the manual. It will, of course, be very well-packed. Sorry, no trades. Subject to prior sale on ebay or locally.

I am the original owner (I still have the blank warranty card) and purchased it 3-4 years ago.
