ADA MB-1 preamp with foot switches

i got this one used about two years ago. it is in great shape and works perfectly. i got the footswitch / controller off ebay. i've never plugged the footswitch in, but i assume it works. the footswitch has definitely been stepped on, but all the individual buttons seem to be in working order. i don't know for sure, but none of them are stuck in any position. the footswitch requires a midi (i think) cable which i do NOT have.

$250 (paypal) + shipping. SOLD!

i'll post pictures tonight.

That's a nice price for this pre + footboard.

ADA made a couple versions of footboards. The version I have can run with a regular MIDI cable to the MB-1/MP-1; with a special MIDI cable (I'm away from my studio, but I think it's a 7-pin), the footboard can be powered via MIDI cable from the pre-amp--doing away with the need to run any additional power to the board.

i always wanted one of these. ever since way back when they had ads in BassPlayer magazine with Les Claypool and Victor Wooten. great compressor. great chorus. two 12ax7s for distortion. for the control freak there are a billion options. for the timid there are voicing options that are good starting points with everything else set flat.

here's a link for specs:

http://www.adadepot.com/adagear/gear.../ADA-MB-1.htm#

you'll also find the manual, some presets, schematics and other such stuff.

I had 2 of these, got rid of one, but will never get rid of my last one. Very versitle pre, especially with the footswitch. Whoever snatches this will be very happy.

also, this can be used in a bi-amp rig or full range.. i believe it's got sovteks in it right now. some JJs would really light this thing up. truth of the matter, i've got an Ampeg pre, an SWR IOD, and a Tronographic Rusty Box for back up and this ADA just doesn't get used.

all pms replied.

now i'm not sure. it says 2.05 when you power it up. is that the version number or just the chip number? or are version and chip the same thing?

That's the version # Big Man. It's a version 2. I had one of these for a while. Free bump.
