I've had one of these for forever.
- Very flexible signal routing
- You can save patches with any combination of the two effects loops (each FX loop also offers send and return volume)
- Patches can blend tube + solid state channels (each w/ separate gain, master, and contour)
- You can phantom power the footswitch via 7-pin MIDI cable, so no need to run a wall wart to your stage position
You need to watch the high end on these preamps to avoid hiss; but if you don't go nuts with your gain staging, high eq, and FX loop levels, they can sound great--well defined, meaty, warm, and very flexible.
