AER Basic Performer 4x8 combo
My favorite combo. I have two so I'm selling one. From the website:
Twin channel acoustic amplifier for low range. Hybrid 4 x 60 w / 4 ohm, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, dynamic control, 4 x 8"-twin cone speaker system. effect loop, tuner,- line, headphones, DI-out, AUX in.
The Basic Performer offers superior coverage for the critical mid-range and still has got enough substance in the treble range. Four 8"-twin-cone speaker systems which are separately powered by four 60 W power amps in a special bandpass/bassreflex cabinet provide for the required surface area and sound pressure to also reproduce the lowest frequencies. The sound characteristics are full range, open, light and are thus appropriate for far more instruments than the bass or bass-related instruments such as harp, cello, accordion.
Very cool setup... two diagonal front-mounted eights fire forward and there's an internal enclosure for the second pair of eights. Great for upright, I use it with five and six string electric basses. Built-in notch filter, compressor, two channels, phantom power, variable effects loop, XLR and 1/4" and RCA (rear) inputs, headphone and DI outputs and more. This is one extremely well thought out package. Weight is around 50 lb.
I've gigged mine with excellent results.
$875 shipped CONUS. PM for quickest response. With AER cover.
Free bump for a really neat amp - a bandmate uses a similar amp with guitar and synth, and the amount of sound (and quality of it) coming out of that little thing was breathtaking!
Yep, works great for amplifying just about any instrument where sound quality is high on the list of requirements.
First cab I sold...
Looks like severely underpriced wasn't the way to go after all. Probably a sign that I should keep it. Thread closed.
