AER Head One/Cab One/Cab Two Rig - $2,000

Sign in to disble this ad
I bought this rig from Chuck Levin's Washington Music in Wheaton, MD October 2009 to replace a stolen Euphonic Audion rig. Sonically, I'd compare it EA with maybe a tad more midrange. The Head One can run full-range or bi-amped. Full range, its power is 250 Watts @ 8 ohms and 500 watts @ 4 ohms. Bi-amped, it sends 250 watts each 8-ohm speaker.

It features two separate switchable EQ channels with a bypass, a tube emulation circuit with the ability to blend into the clean channel, and two master volumes (one is for soloing).

The Cab One is a 2x10" "push-pill" configuration configuration. One driver is rear-firing. Additionally, there is an 8" extended range driver in lieu of a tweeter. It has an 8 ohm configuration and will handle 300 watts.

The Cab Two is a ported 15" configuration with no tweeter. It also handles about 400 watts @ 8 ohms.

Brand-new, the street price was about $6,000. I bought this as the floor model and got a substantial discount to $3,000. It has some shop wear on it and has been used for basement rehearsals and one gig. It's never been abused.

I have covers, speaker cables and shipping boxes for all the components. I'd prefer local pickup, but will consider shipping if the buyer is willing to pay for it. I won't sell the components separately.

I'll consider reasonable offers and shipping. The proceeds from this are going towards a Mike Lull T-Bass.

Wow this is an amazing deal. I have an AER amp one and absolutely love it, though currently I have no need for a new large rig. If you're still selling it in like 5 years I may be interested ha ha.

I bought the EA CXL-112 that you had left and it still sounds great! Good luck in selling this nice rig.

Thanks, Jordybass!

Folks, I want this rig GONE! I just landed an Aguilar DB750 and have no use for this. I'm open to any reasonable offers and will consider trades involving Epifani UL Series cabinets, Bergantino NV610 any maybe other Bergantino cabs. May also consider Accugroove.

I found the owners manuals last night (they were misplaced) and here is some more info on this rig:

The head will run 250 watts @ 4 ohms in the "bi-amped" mode. It can be run in a bridged mode and puts out 500 watts @ 8 ohms. Its weight is 6kg (or just over 13 lbs).

Cab One (the 2x10") is rated to handle 400 watts @ 4 ohms. The frequency response is 65 hz-15 khz (-3db). The weight is 59.5 lbs.

Cab Two (the 1x15") is also rated at 400 watts @ 4 ohms. The frequency response is 55hx - 2khz (-3db). The weight is just under 51 lbs.
