Aguilar AG500 112 combo (feeler)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi there,

I have an Aguilar AG500 112 combo, but I need money more than I need the amp. I don't really want to ship it because it's pretty heavy and I don't have a large box, so I'm weighing my options.

One idea I came up with is to offer the head and cab (w/airhead) separately, since I could ship the head and possibly sell the cab locally. I'm just wondering what people would think that would be worth.

I'm thinking $650 for the head, $250 for the cab, or a combo deal for $800. (These prices don't include shipping.)

Does this seem fair? Anyone interested? Only trades would be for a much cheaper, smaller (but not too wimpy) combo or head/cab.

Pictures will be up soon. This thing is in really great shape. I've hardly used it since I bought it used about a year ago. I realized that I do have a box that I think will fit, so I'd entertain the idea of shipping the combo.

Also, if by any chance there are any folks out there who use an AG500 and Aguilar 112 cab as separates but would be interested in a combo, I'd be into a straight up cab trade. I have a small head on the way and don't need the big airhead space, but I love the cab.

I should also mention that since this head has been in a combo form, it doesn't have the rubber feet or the handle on the side. These parts should be easy to get, I'd imagine. There are also four holes in the top of the head where it bolts into the cab. Nothing a few machine screws won't fix. Otherwise, it's just like the stand-alone head.

Anyway, let me know if you're interested in either part or the whole deal.

pics!

Took some pictures of the combo and with the head removed. The pictures actually make it look more crusty than it is in person. These digital cameras really have a way of bringing out smudges that the naked eye can't see. Anyway, please send any offers my way!

Yeah, shipping won't be super cheap. I've tried to keep the prices low partly for that reason. But if it's just the shipping costs you're worried about, feel free to make an offer you can afford.

Only trade interest at this point would be for small (1x10, 1x12, etc.) cabs.

Head alone weighs 18 lbs, combo weighs 69 lbs (both according to specs I found online: I don't have a scale). Still relatively portable, but it does take two hands to transport.

Still available at this point . . .
