Aguilar AG500sc + DB212 Classic Black

This is not a fire sale. This is a "baby-on-the-way" sale.

I'm trying to clear some space around the house and toying with the notion that my beloved (and I do mean beloved) Aggie rig may need to go. This is a big fat stack of bass love, and I'm going to miss it, but I'm looking to downsize to a Mesa Walkabout combo or possibly an Ampeg flip-top.

The real deal is that this is more power than my current gig calls for and it takes up more space than I'll have once the little Rocket arrives.

It is loud and meaty. I've never needed the volume or gain past noon, and even there I occasionally get the look from the lead singer / guitarist

The DB 212 (4 ohm) is warm and full, everything I had hoped it would be. It's also practically brand new having only been purchased at the beginning of this year and gigged a max of 9 or 10 times.

The AG500sc head is a perfect match for this cab, and is loud at 4 ohms. Can do anything from old-school to slap (now, I'm not saying I can slap or anything) and everything in between. Also comes with the classic black head case.

I'll try to get some more pics tomorrow in the daylight (and in color) but this is what she looks like. Mmmmm....

So, here's the deal. To make this worth it for me I'd like to get about $1500 out of the rig. I don't care to ship it. I won't ship the cab, but I'll meet folks within an hour and a half of Durham. I can possibly ship the head, but it'll add about $50. Local is best.

As I mentioned, Walkabout Combos and Portaflex Combos (pf500 / pf115) would definitely be considered in a trade toward this fine piece of booty-shakin' machinery.

Someone would do well to snag this set though. It's a keeper, and if I didn't have a wee bairn on the way it wouldn't be going anywhere.
