Somebody installed a through jack in it (you could use it as a tuner out), that's the extra hole in the back where the power warnings are. Also has a brand spankin new pilot light from Aguilar, they had one in the back somewhere.

I can't believe this is still here! This is one of the best -- and hardest to find -- preamps around. Different, but there with the Kern.

As I was just explaining to someone, the jack on the back is only active when something is plugged in the front. It was probably used as a tuner out, but could be used to feed another preamp for a stereo setup, etc.

I have had one of these for many years. It's powered by a QSC RMX-850. I've tried going back to head/cab, and combo set ups, but I always return to the DB 659.

There may be better preamps available, but this one has to be one of the best. I LOVE the tone. Someone needs to jump on this one. New, they sold for around a grand.

I rarely see them for sale. You won't see mine for sale.

Someone buy this. You won't regret it.

I'm still shocked no one has snagged this. These are pretty rare and, IMHO, one of the best pre's out there. I have a bunch of great pre's and I really dig this one.
