Ampeg Anniversary Set $1200

Sign in to disble this ad
Ampeg Anniversary amp and bottom. Essentially a V4B, 100 watt, all tube amp with a SVT610HLF in silver cloth. Actual numbers are V4BAV and SVT610AV. This is one of the last American made sets. Talked to Ampeg today and found that this set was only made in 2005 for their anniversary. Serial number on the head is DMVDR50038 and was manufactured in May of 2005. The place I got it from received it in 2006 and I got it from them.

Only gigged 3 or 4 times spent the rest of the time in my basement since new.

Kinda like buying the amp and getting the bottom for free. Mint, like new condition, minimal tube wear.

Must be local pickup in Rochester, NY. I am not shipping this beast. If you are in the local area I will deliver.

What an excellent buy!!! I wished I lived about 2300 miles closer. I believe there were only 200 of these made. If I remember correctly, they sold out very quickly at the NAMM show. In addition, they were some of the last USA built Ampegs.

I do not think you will have any problems selling this one.

Oregon? Your post says you are in NYC. You could drive up here on a day trip and go home with a beauty!

Questions?

Actually, these were sold as a set, but some foolish dealers actually split the set. Unknowingly, I bought the head and decided to wait until I had the $$ to buy the cab. I looked for over 3 years for the AV 610. I found several 810's, but no 610's.

Finally, I found a set for sale at Midlothian Music. Although they were in Illinois, they were excellent to work with. I found out a lot of additional info on these rare sets from these guys. They were asking $2700 for the set, and would not split the two. They worked with me, and discounted the set a little, but the care in packing, shipping, and excellent customer service is bar none.

However, I spent $1000.00 plus for the head alone when I purchased the first one.

These come around once in a blue moon.

Ahh, if only I could find a buyer with your passion for this set Dog. It is a really good deal, especially since it is in brand new condition. That is something, (except in this case) that money can't buy.

I would love to buy this, but its really to far away for me to drive, and smuggling it across the border would be sketchy.

Aw come on. I will meet you at the border up by Watertown. I was there Monday. 2-1/2 hours for me. Lets put it together! Gonna be a little tough to demo but I guarantee it is what it is supposed to be.

Wes, you wouldn't want to bust up this pair. Like I said before, it is like getting a free bottom anyway. I could meet you in Jamestown, NY which is at the absolute bottom of New York. I have a client there I need to visit and I could kill two birds if you are interested. I have done the Columbus drive many times. My company built many of the Starbucks in your market. Let me know.

if I sell it, and this si still available we can work something out.

unless you want to trade for an SVT II pro and some cash on my end.

Just tell the border guards it's a big hunk of good sounding cheese. Free bump for an awful purty rig!

Very interested in the head and located in Rochester, but I just don't have the heart to split the lovely pair up.

Just buy the set and sell the bottom. An SVT 610HLF is a very marketable bottom.
