Ampeg B-15S head, Linden NJ, new tubes and recently serviced by excellent tech

Well, I have simply too many heads and cabs for the small space I live in, so some pieces have to go...

This head is somewhat rare being a true "ampeg" manufacture, as opposed to magnavox, which is what you usually see in B-15Ss. Places it around 1971.

It's been thoroughly gone thru by tech Wil Bailey, who in addition to building/repairing/restoring gear for some of the biggest names in the NW has also worked for THD. In addition to replacing out-of-spec parts he also replaced some of the preamp tubes and installed a fresh set of JJ 7027s. We didn't replace the filter caps which he suggests be replaced some time in the next five years.

The amp is mounted to it's original fliptop plate, which is cool because it has built-in shock absorbers and also provides a handle to carry it by. You could also put the head in a head cabinet...

Very versatile head, probably somewhere between a tube rectified B-15 and a V4 on the "B-15 to SVT" vibe spectrum. 60 Watts, solid-state rectified, lots of cool tonal options. Plenty of spec information on google.

Asking $650 + shipping.

Only trade interests are:
*RH450
*Lakland Decade Skyline (passive)
*LDS/fEARful 15/6 or 115
*Kappalite 3105 or 3105LF
*Accugroove 115L

Thanks Jeremy, but I'm pretty set for traditional basses...

Forgot to mention: when I bought the amp the hardwired output cable had no connector, so I had Wil wire a speakon on there. There's also a 1/4" output jack.

Thanks for the PMs, both a bit low to me, given that the amp has been serviced by an excellent tech...

Price reduced, see above...

Hmm, this is seriously tempting me.
What kind of loads should this drive? 8? 4? 2?

It's got an impedance switch in the back, can do 8, 4, or 2. A very nice feature!

So tempting considering I missed out on a B25B today. Does this thing get very dirty when cranked?
